MEDIUM 291 - for Bacillus horti

- Glucose 10 g (^Sigma G8270)
- Polypeptone 5 g (^{Becton Dickinson} 211910)
- Yeast extract 5 g (^{BD Difco} 212750)
- Potassium di-hydrogen phosphate 1 g (^Labosi P1400)
- Magnesium sulphate heptahydrate 0.2 g (^Merck 1.05886)
- Bacto Agar 15 g (^{BD Difco} 214010)
- Ultra pure water make up to 900 ml (^Millipore MilliQ)
- Sodium carbonate solution - M00442 100 ml

Add all products except sodium carbonate solution Adjust pH to 10.0 + 0.2 Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes Cool to 50°C Add aseptically sodium carbonate solution

Sodium carbonate solution - M00442 100 ml

- Sodium carbonate decahydrate 10 g (^Merck 1.06391.1000)
- Ultra pure water make up to 100 ml (^Millipore MilliQ)

Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
