MEDIUM 85 - for Abiotrophia

- Columbia agar 39 g (^Bio-Rad 279240)
- Ultra pure water make up to 800 ml (^Millipore MilliQ)
- Horse blood 100 ml (^BioMérieux 55 833)
- Vitamin B6 solution - M0288 100 ml

Add all products except horse blood and vitamin solution Adjust pH to 7.3 + 0.2 Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes Cool to 50°C Add aseptically horse blood and vitamin solution

Vitamin B6 solution - M0288 100 ml

- Pyridoxal hydrochloride (vit B6) 1 g (^BDH 440865Q)
- Ultra pure water make up to 100 ml (^Millipore MilliQ)
